Assistant PGA Professional - Finlay Wallace
Finlay is joining the team as an assistant professional at Crail Golfing Society after completing 4 years at the University of the Highlands and Islands studying Professional Golf. Finlay was part of the Golf Operations team for the Summer of 2022 and was eager to return to the club.
Finlay has been passionate about Golf since he started playing the sport at the age of 10. Since then he has competed in local competitions at his home club of Portlethen Golf Club and National competitions. He is passionate about continuing to improve and progress whilst playing in competitions in the upcoming season.
He has an interest in coaching and club repair, along side the game of golf in general. Finlay loves playing both courses at Crail Golfing Society and it is somewhere you could find him after a shift or on a day off as both courses provide an array of challenges and require thoughtful course management.
Finlay’s favourite golf course that he has played is TPC San Antonio in Texas, USA. His dream four ball would include, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler. Finlay’s favourite shot to play is a stinger driver which he loves to play off the 12th tee on Balcomie to keep the ball under the wind, for it to run down the hill.
