Assistant Trainee PGA Professional - Anna McKay

 

Anna has worked at Crail since April 2021 but has been a member here since she was 5 playing most of her golf here.

    

Anna's favourite thing about working at Crail is getting to be creative with the presentation of the shop and making everything look presentable. Anna loves making the special themes of the shop like Halloween and Christmas. Another thing Anna is most grateful for is the people she works with, which makes everything more enjoyable.

   

Anna loves a good bit of a laugh with the members and enjoys hearing visitors stories when they come to play at Crail. 

  

One thing Anna enjoys is the rush of a busy day in the summer when it's sunny outside and loads of happy people coming in to play and getting them organised with everything to give them the best day. 

   

Anna had a hole in one on a par 4, the 15th hole on Balcomie at Crail whilst equalling her ladies course record which she first achieved when she was 13. 

One of her favourite courses is Balcomie but on the other hand up north, Brora is a hidden gem.

  

If given the chance Anna would love to play Augusta National.

One of her favourite swings is Nelly Korda. She also looks up to Sophia Popov as an inspiration as she battled a lot of health issues and then fought back to win the women's open. 

  

Anna's dream fourball would be Nelly Korda, Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas.
